Diana Lambdin Meyer grew up on a grain farm in southern Illinois, and as much as anywhere in the world, that farm is still home in her heart. However, she and her husband, son and cat base themselves in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
She’s got all of the appropriate degrees, professional training and affiliations. For a while, she owned a small town newspaper, did broadcast journalism when it could still be called journalism, and even tried to make everyone happy by giving public relations a short whirl. But while working more traditional jobs, trying to fit that square peg into the round hole, Diana was always freelancing and writing travel on the side. In 1995, she took the big leap, leaving the day job behind.
And she’s never looked back.
A little bit of tomboy remains in the farm girl, so Diana’s stories often take her to national parks and wilderness retreats and out of the way destinations. She loves history, people, small towns and the quirky corners of the world, and trying to bring a little understanding of them all to the people who find their way to her words.
